Global is working with Covisus, Inc. to support the development of the DTEK(TM) Quantitative Optical Inspection for counterfeit mitigation. Quantitative Optical Inspection is an innovative screening technology initially funded by the US Army Research Office to reduce the risk of counterfeit supply in the defense industrial base. Global is providing test components, distribution expertise, facilities and labor support, and validation of the system against existing state of the art counterfeit mitigation tools in its quality assurance lab. These efforts have served to accelerate the development of this technology, which provides significant benefits for Global's customers, the US defense industrial base and the industry. Furthermore, Global plans to be the first Independent Distributor of electronic components to implement the DTEK system upon release as a commercial product, reflecting its commitment to investments in innovative counterfeit screening technologies.
